COMMUNICATING OUR SCIENCE: TOWARDS POSITIVE SOCIETAL PERCEPTION OF RNA |
WG4 meeting
|
We are inviting members of the COST Action for a two-day WG4 meeting which will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, on October 9th and 10th, 2023. The meeting will focus on a very important topic for our Action and more broadly for society: how do we raise awareness and advocate for medical and agricultural applications of RNA technologies. We are honored to have Thomas Crampton and Rob Blackie, experts from Greenlight Bioscience, sharing their knowledge on their study on attitudes of the general public towards RNA technologies and potential ways of improving the language we use to talk about our discoveries and technologies. The presentation will be followed by discussion with all the attendees on the experiences from their own countries to build mutual understanding and map a plan for future Action. Thus, we encourage the participation of senior researchers, in order to create mutual strategies on advocacy on exRNA research.
